BTS launch pop-up stores in London and Berlin
South Korean boy band BTS is launching a special "retail experience" in the form of a pop-up store in Berlin on January 6. The temporary shop at Berlin's Mercedes-Platz will be open until February 28 and will offer a wide selection of official merchandise from the K-pop band's archives, including rarities and limited editions. Another pop-up store has been open since December 9 at the Icon Outlet in the O2 Arena in London and will remain open until the end of January.
The pop-up is the first post-pandemic BTS event in Europe and will be launched in partnership with Hybe Ip and Seoul-based production company FreeCong.
BTS, short for "Bangtan Sonyeondan" or Beyond The Scene, is a Grammy-nominated South Korean boy band that played two headline shows at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin in 2018. The store is located at the Mercedes Platz close to the arena.
The BTS Pop-Up: Space Of BTS is an offline event featuring themed merchandise inspired by BTS songs and the TV series "In The Soop". Hundreds of different items will be on offer, ranging from clothing, accessories, soft toys to lifestyle items.
The store will be divided into different areas and will offer Instagram-worthy photo opportunities with themed backdrops, props and little surprises, as promised by the organisers.
