Burton hires new marketing director for Europe
Burton's Autumn/Winter 2016-17 collection marks the brand's forty years in business. While celebrating this anniversary, the U.S. label continues to emphasise its role as snowboarding specialist.

To implement its European plans, Burton has recently hired Martin Magielka as Europe marketing director. Magielka will be based at the group's continental headquarters in Innsbruck, Austria, and will oversee in-store and digital marketing initiatives, as well as handling the brand's relationship with the media and organising events.
German-born Magielka is well acquainted with board sports culture, since he founded the Streetwear Today magazine. As a consultant, he was also involved in several projects for the Bread&Butter trade show, at the time of the Barcelona sessions and the ISPO show. He also collaborated with Analog, Nike SB, New Balance and Levi's.
He will report to Hermann Kapferer, Burton's Europe general manager, and to Anne-Marie Dacyshyn, the label's chief marketing officer.
