C. Wonder acquired by Xcel Brands, names Brad Goreski Creative Director

Brand development and media company, Xcel Brands, Inc. announced that it has officially closed its acquisition of C. Wonder brand for approximately $12.5 million. The acquisition includes the C. Wonder brand, C. Wonder Limited Trademarks and related designs and other intellectual property. C. Wonder is scheduled to launch on QVC in spring 2016.

In addition to the acquisition, C. Wonder has appointed Brad Goreski as Creative Director. Goreski, who is the E! News “Fashion Police” panelist and star of docu-series “It’s a Brad, Brad World,” is a celebrity stylist who has worked with A-listers including Jessica Alba, Demi Moore, Lea Michele and Rashida Jones. He has also served as an Exclusive Brand Stylist for Kate Spade for several years. Goreski became a prominent name in fashion for his work with Rachel Zoe and for being a regular on her show, The Rachel Zoe Project.
 
Goreski commented, "I am excited to join Xcel Brands in bringing C. Wonder to QVC and other retailers sometime soon. I love that the collection offers a variety of incredibly fun items that I know women will love and be excited about."
 
Christopher Burch founded C. Wonder after parting ways with Tory Burch, which he co-founded with his ex-wife and fashion designer, Tory Burch.
