The 6,738-square-foot store carries COS’ full men’s, women’s and children apparel on three floors. The façade of the store uses an ancient Japanese technique called Shou Sugi Ban, which preserves the wooden exterior through charring and gives a black wood effect. This technique is unique only to the COS Toronto store.

Marie Honda Managing Director commented ‘’We are extremely happy to be launching in Canada. We believe our location is perfect and we hope customers locally will like the collection and the store.’’

COS also announced that it will open a store in Montreal on Rue Sainte Catherine West in October. The brand is also slated to open a store in Midtown Manhattan with sister brand, & Other Stories.
