Camping World Holdings, the US's largest network of RV-centric retail locations, has added specialty retailer Uncle Dan's Outfitters to its recent acquisitions in an effort to dominate the outdoor lifestyle market.

The acquisition will make Uncle Dan's Outfitters the official supplier of apparel and camping supplies to CWH's existing Gander Outdoors retail stores across the US.

Marcus Lemonis, Chairman of CWH said the acquisition will further "expand the reach and product offerings of our e-commerce business."

In addition to Uncle Dan's Outfitters, CWH has been busy with acquisitions over the past six months. The first acquisition was Gander Mountain, a hunting, fishing, camping and outdoor gear retailer. CWH then acquired boating and marine accessories retailer Overton's. Finally, CWH acquired TheHouse.com, an e-commerce retailer that specializes in bikes, wakeboards, skate, snow and outdoor gear.

Uncle Dan's Outfitters is a specialty retailer of outdoor gear, apparel and camping supplies. It carries brands including The North Face, Patagonia and Arc'teryx.

CWH is counting on the combination of the categories of these acquisitions along with their omni-channel platforms to gain a stronger foothold in the outdoor market.

CWH is headquartered in Illinois. It has targeted the RV market with services from sales to repairs and is now expanding into a broader outdoor lifestyle company. It was founded in 1966 and is publicly traded on the NYSE.
