Canadian luxury clothing brand Canada Goose is making its way into Australia through a brand management agreement with Brand Collective, expanding its global presence.

Under the agreement, Canada Goose plans to open stores in Melbourne and Sydney later this year, in addition to launching an e-commerce platform and implementing wholesale distribution plans. The move demonstrates the brand's commitment to retail and building its direct-to-consumer network.

Canada Goose recently announced its Q4 results, unveiling its ambitious plans to more than double its retail footprint by the end of fiscal 2028. While a significant number of new stores are expected to be concentrated in Mainland China, the U.S., and Japan, the company is also eyeing Australia. It currently operates over 50 stores.

In Q4 2023, Canada Goose achieved a 31.4% increase in revenue on a reported basis and a 30.1% increase on a constant currency revenue basis. The growth was driven by various factors, including the expansion of retail stores and improved growth and performance.

Looking ahead, Canada Goose has high expectations for fiscal 2024, with revenue projections between C$1.40 billion and C$1.50 billion.

“Partnering with a world-class luxury brand like Canada Goose gives us a great sense of pride,” said Brand Collective CEO, Eric Morris.

“Canada Goose is known for being an experience-driven and storytelling brand, immersing consumers in its heritage and enabling them to thrive in the world outside. With Brand Collective’s unique ability to bring brands to life, Australians can now engage with all that Canada Goose has to offer in an unfiltered way.”

Canada Goose chairman and CEO Dani Reiss added: “I’m thrilled to be expanding our presence in Australia, bringing Canada Goose to even more consumers. Australia is a world-renowned destination for luxury, and we’ve seen how strongly our brand is resonating in the market. With our long-term strategy in place and an expert partner in Brand Collective, I look forward to this next chapter.”
