Canadian designer Vejas Kruszewski youngest finalist for LVMH Prize

Self taught Canadian designer Vejas Kruszewski is among one of eight finalists for the LVMH Prize. At just 19 years-old he is also the youngest.

His Toronto-based label, self-titled Vejas, was among 26 candidates originally shortlisted for the prize. His first collection was launched just last year at New York Fashion Week.
Launched in November 2013, the LVMH Prize was created to honour and support young fashion designers around the world. Young designers and graduates from fashion schools are eligible to claim the prize.
The winner will be awarded a grant of 300,000 euros and a personalized technical and financial support from the Group for a 12-month period following the LVMH Prize award.
On June 16 at the Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris, finalists will gather and present their deisgns to a jury of LVMH executives like Marc Jacobs and Riccardo Tisci.
