Carhartt recently opened the doors to its flagship store in Midtown Detroit at 5800 Cass Avenue, the historic former home of Marmon Motors auto dealership and Cass Motor Sales, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The brand’s Detroit flagship store occupies the first floor of the 51,000-square-foot, three-story building, and will carry over 540 of its most popular men’s, women’s and kids’ apparel, footwear and accessories. Some items available in-store include Carhartt’s iconic brown duck, sandstone and denim styles, its Full Swing products that offer a full range of motion, the Force performance line, its lightweight Quick Duck and Rain Defender outerwear, and the men’s Series 1889 jeans.
"Today is a remarkable day in Carhartt's history as we celebrate the opening of our flagship store in Detroit where we were established 126 years ago," said Mark Valade, CEO and chairman of the board. "We are proud to be a part of such a hard-working, industrious community."
The Detroit Flagship is Carhartt’s 20th company-owned retail store joining locations in Connecticut, Illinois, Indiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Utah, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin.
