Casablanca readies for the opening of Morocco Mall

Published
Oct 31, 2011

It was a four-year project that culminated this December 5 with the grand opening of the Morocco Mall. The shopping center, which is located on the ocean coast, is a joint venture between local Aksal Group (franchisee of Inditex brands) and Saudi real estate developer Al Jedai, and includes Fnac, the Galeries Lafayette, and several international luxury mono-brand stores such as Fendi, Dior, Gucci, Ralph Lauren, etc..

The partners have invested 175 millions euros in this vast entertainment and shopping center, with stores representing about 60% of the surface area. Above all, the mall, which already contains the Galeries Lafayette, offers something for everyone. The distribution of the space by market segment is – 70% mid-range and general public, 20% premium and, finally, 10% luxury.

Morocco Mall

With 70,000 square feet of retail space spread over three levels, this shopping destination will welcome many international brands, but also and many luxury brands as well. Among them: Orchestra, Camaïeu, Zara, H&M, Mango, Etam, Massimo Dutti, Lacoste, Promod, Adolfo Dominguez, DPAM, as well as Benetton, Paul and Joe, Jennyfer, Lee Cooper, Sud Express, Gucci, Fendi, Louis Vuitton, Dior and Polo Ralph Lauren.
