CBD skincare brand Cannuka launches at Ulta

CBD skincare brand Cannuka has announced that it is launching at Ulta, bringing the therapeutic properties of the en-vogue cannabis compound to the beauty retailer's wide audience. 


Currently, the brand offers a concise range of CBD-infused products, includingeye balm, body cream, skin balm, lip balm and a body bar. - Instagram @cannuka


"We’re thrilled to announce this week the entire Cannuka collection launches in over 1,200 Ulta stores," the one-year-old brand wrote in an Instagram post, "making this the largest CBD product launch in history! Discover what all the buzz is about at your local @ultabeauty."

On its website, Cannuka describes CBD as a natural antioxidant with powerful anti-inflammatory properties to calm, heal and revitalize the skin. While the compound is found in both marijuana and hemp plants (two primary species of cannabis), Cannuka's products derive their CBD exclusively from hemp plants and guarantee that their products are free of THC, the compound found in marijuana that produces a high. 

The second star ingredient in Cannuka products is manuka honey, which is said to balance the skin's pH, provide beneficial amino acids and possess anti-bacterial properties.

Currently, the brand offers a tight range of CBD-infused products, including eye balm, body cream, skin balm, lip balm and a body bar. Prices range from $9 to $138 for the complete Cannuka Beauty + Health Collection.

The Ulta roll-out marks the beauty retailer's biggest investment in a CBD brand, and it looks like curious customers might have to act fast if they want to get their hands on the brand's products – at the moment, all items on Cannuka's website are marked as sold out. 

Founded by husband and wife duo Michael and Kelly Bumgarner, Cannuka states that its mission is to legitimize the cannabis industry, which the brand believes could help lead to a healthier population and a cleaner environment.
