Celebrity makeup artist Patrick Ta launches eponymous beauty brand

Celebrity makeup artist Patrick Ta is the latest professional to turn beauty entrepreneur.

The creative, who is known for his work with clients such as Hailee Steinfeld, Shay Mitchell, Adriana Lima and Gigi and Bella Hadid, has launched his own eponymous label, Patrick Ta Beauty.

In a series of Instagram posts announcing the launch to his 1.3 million followers, Ta revealed that he had been working on the project for two years.

"I am so proud of every product I'm releasing which were made with the highest quality, I wanted my brand to be affordable luxury, I hope you guys love all the detail I've put into this launch," the star wrote to accompany one video clip.

The brand's debut offering is a collection dubbed ‘Major Glow', which comprises three different hues of glittering ‘Lip Shine,' a trio of ‘Highlighting Mists' and two shimmery versions of ‘Body Oil' to keep wearers glowing from head to toe. A rose gold setting fan completes the lineup.

Ta is the latest in a long list of beauty creatives to put his own stamp on the cosmetics industry, following in the footsteps of famous faces such as Charlotte Tilbury, who debuted her eponymous label back in 2013, Pat McGrath, whose ‘Pat McGrath Labs' brand has seen wild success since it hit the scene in 2015 and Gucci Westman, who heads up ‘Westman Atelier'. Last year saw celebrity makeup artist, beauty vlogger and creative director of Lâncome Lisa Eldridge launch a trio of lipsticks, while makeup artist Sir John has teamed up with Woolworths on a beauty launch for this year.
