Chicago's Merz Apothecary opens new store concept Shops At Merz

​On October 11, Merz Apothecary launched its new store concept, Shops At Merz, in Chicago, which operates as a beauty emporium that features three internal boutiques.

Beauty, fragrance, and men’s grooming have all been given their own space at the new Shops At Merz store with the three boutiques called “The Beauty Shop”, “The Fragrance Shop”, and “Q Brothers”. The store concept is designed to mix luxury with a neighborhood approach that honours the history of the brand.

The Beauty Shop offers a selection of skincare and cosmetics and makeup artists and aestheticians are on hand to give customers beauty tips and perform makeovers.

The Fragrance Shop focuses on independent perfumery with experts available to walk customers through the world of fragrance. Finally, Q Brothers is the men's shop and features an extensive selection of shaving products and facial hair care, among other products.

"As we looked at where we could serve our customers in an even better and more exciting way, we realized that we had a major opportunity with beauty, fragrance and men's grooming,” said Merz’s president and owner, Anthony Qaiyum, in a press release.

“Before the opening of The Shops at Merz, we had a great selection in each of these areas. Our goal with our new store concept is to move from great to world-class in both our assortment and in our level of service. It is really fun and exhilarating to have a company that is evolving and pushing the boundaries of retail even though we've been around since 1875."

Merz Apothecary has a 143-year history and a global reputation. The pharmacy specializes in natural health and personal care products curated from an array of brands.

Shops At Merz is located at 4718 N. Lincoln Avenue, Chicago, adjacent to Merz Apothecary.
