Children's Club to launch in Las Vegas in August
UBM Fashion announced on Monday that it is launching Children’s Club in Las Vegas this August under the name Children’s Club Magic.
Children’s Club Magic is an evolution of trade show Playground, and it will build upon the show’s contemporary roster of brands. The show will take place every February and August at Magic alongside WWDMagic, Project, FN Platform, and other UBM fashion markets. In addition, Children’s Club New York Director Lee Rosenbaum will oversee the show’s west coast expansion.
Rosenbaum said, "We are always looking for ways to better serve the needs of our brands and buyers. The launch of Children's Club MAGIC will allow us to give the growing children's fashion market much needed access to the most influential players in the industry on both coasts."
Launched in 2000, Children’s Club is an international exhibition that features every category of children’s clothing from newborn to age 12 including accessories, footwear, toys and gifts.
Prior to the expansion of Children’s Club, UBM announced in April the launch of IFF Magic Japan, a joint venture between Magic and JFW-International Fashion Fair, Japan’s fashion business tradeshow by Senken Shimbun. The first event will be held in April 2017.
Also in April, the company acquired Business Journals for $69 million in cash. The acquisition included men’s and women’s apparel and accessories trade shows AccessoriesTheShow, Edit, Fame, Moda, MRket and Stitch.
