Chris Halkyard joins Rent the Runway

Rent the Runway on Wednesday announced the appointment of Chris Halkyard as its chief logistics officer, effective August 1st 2015.

Halkyard, formerly the former chief supply chain officer and general manager of distribution services at Gilt, will put his 25 years of supply chain management and distribution to use by focusing on the development of a more innovative and sophisticated transportation network at Rent the Runway.

"He has amazing experience in distribution and logistics which will allow us to innovate on the ways we continue to deliver rental experiences that exceed our customers expectations."

Before Gilt, Halkyard held logistics roles at Marc Ecko, L’Occitane, FAO Schwarz, and the May department store, now Macy’s, and was a logistics specialist in the United States Air Force.
