Clique appoints Marc Rothschild as President and COO

Media and consumer brands company Clique Brands announced this Tuesday that it has hired digital media veteran Marc Rothschild as President and Chief Operating Officer, as it aims to push growth across its varied activities.

In his new role, Rothschild will lead the company’s publishing and media businesses, and will also work as second-in-command to co-founder and CEO Katherine Power, driving Clique’s strategy and ensuring that it is implemented in collaboration with the leadership team. He will be based in the Clique’s NYC office and will also serve as the company’s head of its East Coast business.
Rothschild joins Clique from Meredith Digital where he was Senior VP for digital revenue, overseeing digital sales, client services, influencer marketing and experiential initiatives for the whole of the company’s portfolio of digital brands.
He joined Meredith in 2015 when the company acquired Selectable Media, a digital video and native technology firm that he had co-founded and where he held the position of COO. Prior to this, he was Senior VP at Phorm and also served in a number of leadership roles at AOL.

Rothschild, in turn, commented, “I'm thrilled to be joining Clique at this point in its trajectory,” explaining, “As publishers and media companies look to supplement their advertising business with additional, synergistic revenue streams and retailers look to forge direct relationships with digital consumers, I believe Clique is sufficiently advanced in its execution of a strategy that marries both of these concepts, and I cannot wait to join the team.”
Clique Brands, Inc. is a global Los Angeles-based company combining media, marketing and consumer brands. It targets millennial women and Gen-Z girls with content and products created and marketed through its portfolio of brands, including MyDomaine, Byrdie, College Fashionista, The/Thirty, Obsessee and Who What Wear, a top-selling label sold exclusively through Target.
Clique also operates an in-house creative agency, Clique Studios, and an influencer network, INF Network. The company’s innovative approach meant that it made it onto the Fast Company’s list of the World’s Most Innovative Companies in 2017.
