This past weekend during New York Fashion Week, Club Monaco launched a full-scale fashion show aimed at consumers at the retailer's global flagship in New York City.

In addition to the usual media and celebrity attendees, the retailers invited fans of the brand to the Spring/Summer 2017 runway show. Club Monaco has announced plans to take this consumer-facing runway show around the world, and plans to stage similar shows in North America, the United Kingdom, and Asia. The retailer has already set dates to re-show its Spring/Summer 2017 runway show in New York (at the Columbus Avenue and SoHo Club Monaco stores), Miami, London, Dallas, Georgetown, Ottawa, Vancouver, Los Angeles, and Atlanta.

All pieces were available for purchase inside the Club Monaco locations and on their online website the day after the show. Select items were available via a waitlist.

A host of celebrities were listed as attendees of the New York Fashion Week event, including Katie Holmes, Drew Barrymore, Grace Coddington, Jemima Kirke, and Nick Wooster.

"Patterns from a Romanian shawl and the [French documentary Latcho Drom] sparked the inspiration behind the collection," said Caroline Belhumeur, Club Monaco's creative director and Senior Vice President of women's design. "We've stayed true to our urban roots, mixing it up with crisp fabrics and sculptural shapes."

Club Monaco was founded by Joe Mimran and Alfred Sung in Toronto in 1985, but the brand has since relocated their headquarters to New York City. Club Monaco, currently a subsidiary of the Ralph Lauren corporation, has stores in the United States, England, Canada, Hong Kong, China, Korea, and Macau.
