Columbia and Swire Properties name Jason Zhu GM of joint venture

Columbia Sportswear Company and Swire Resources Limited announced Monday the appointment of Jason Zhu as general manager of their China joint-venture, Columbia Sportswear Commercial (Shanghai) Co. Ltd.

A native of Shanghai, Zhu heads to the joint venture from Nike where he served for 13 years in Shanghai as Senior Strategic Account Director, Senior Marketplace Management Director, and Action Sports Category General Manager, and Jordan Brand Global Category Business Development Director. He began his career at Proctor & Gamble.

As general manager, Zhu will assume responsibility for all go-to-market functions, including apparel, footwear and accessories product and marketing, as well as wholesale, direct, retail and e-commerce channel development.
