Converse opens newly renovated SoHo store

Converse on Thursday reopened its newly renovated and expanded New York City flagship store in SoHo. Upon completion, the updated store will be the largest Converse store in the world.

The 10,000-square-foot flagship location offers the full range of Converse products on two floors of selling space. The store also features an enhanced Converse Blank Canvas customization experience that allows customers to screen print product like apparel and accessories and customize a variety of iconic sneaker features like grommets, laces, colors and patches.

Later this year, the flagship will house the Blank Canvas Workshop where customers can build their own Chuck Taylor sneaker from scratch. A sneaker designer called “The Maestro” will assist customers in an hour-long, hands-on session that will involve the customization of every detail of a sneaker including its silhouette, fabric, materials, rubber toecap, eyelets and other add-ons. The Workshop will only be available at the SoHo store and the Converse Lovejoy Wharf store in Boston.

The Converse SoHo flagship store is open Monday through Saturday from 10:00am to 8:00pm and on Sunday from 11:00am to 7:00pm.
