Cos opens first Miami location

Published
Nov 25, 2016

Cos is expanding its stateside footprint with a new retail location in Miami. The 3,703-square-foot space opened its doors on Tuesday in Miami’s Design District this week. Cos, launched in 2007, is H&M’s sister retailer.

The new location will reflect the Scandinavian brand’s clean, functional  aesthetic. The interior will feature neutral-tone materials in pale wood, concrete, and glass. The brand’s minimalistic men's, women's, and children's products will hang on raw steel hangers.

The location will also include a grand façade made of locally-sourced solar screen tiles designed both for visual appeal and to shade the store from the Miami sun.

This is one of several North American locations the Scandinavian fashion house has opened over the past two years. In the last 12 months, the retailer has opened debut stores in Vancouver, Toronto, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Houston, and Boston.

Furthermore, Cos is one of thirty-one brands and restaurants that are opening in Miami’s Design District in the coming months. Among those slated to open are Saint Laurent, Isabel Marant, Rag & Bone, Tod’s, Aesop, and Alexander Wang. The Design District is located over 18-square blocks in Miami.
