Cotswold Industries views sustainability as key to its business success.

Cotswold Industries is a third generation, family-owned business that knows the importance of protecting the planet. As large-scale providers of next-generation fabrics, they produce cutting-edge, quality technical textiles and blends for front-line professionals, including healthcare workers and the military.

Cotswold takes its social and environmental responsibilities seriously and conducts all aspects of business following the highest ethical standards. Over 50 percent of its manufacturing takes place in the United States, providing important jobs to Americans and supporting the national economy.

Cotswold values the success and growth of its employees and every actor in the field-to-mill supply chain. In addition to fostering innovation and collaboration in the workplace, Cotswold promotes career, learning development and recognition programs for its staff.
Its social responsibility transcends the manufacturing plants into the local and global communities by providing educational opportunities, charitable donations and supporting non-profit agencies.

Cotswold proudly meets all environmental legislation standards in its operations and sets targets for its manufacturing units to meet the company's own environmental policies. And since Cotswold knows the importance of being truly sustainable, it ensures its suppliers follow equally rigorous standards through audits and surveys.

The U.S. Cotton Trust Protocol®—a sustainable answer for the manufacturing industry

Cotswold’s membership in the U.S. Cotton Trust Protocol ensures that the cotton fiber used is sustainably grown and has a lower environmental and social impact. The company takes every step possible to guarantee that the fabrics it produces are of the highest quality and provide the best protection available.

In response to the growing demand for supply chain transparency and social responsibility, the Trust Protocol provides brands, retailers, and the end user with the assurance that the cotton fiber in its fabrics is more sustainably grown.

Launched in 2020, the Trust Protocol was designed to set a new standard in sustainable cotton production where full transparency is a reality and continuous improvement to reduce our environmental footprint is the central goal.

It is the only system that provides quantifiable, verifiable goals and measurement and drives continuous improvement in six key sustainability metrics: land use, soil carbon, water management, soil loss, greenhouse gas emissions and energy efficiency. It is also the world’s first sustainable cotton fiber program to offer article level supply chain transparency to all members.

Its core values focus on U.S. cotton’s legacy of authenticity, innovation, excellence, environmental stewardship, caring of people, and personal and corporate integrity with a Theory of Change that is grounded in science- based measurement and feedback.
