Covergirl snags Sangita Patel as new Canadian spokesperson
Covergirl has a new Canadian face! The cosmetics company has snagged media personality Sangita Patel as the spokesperson for its Simply Ageless Collection.
The collaboration comes as the collection heads back to store shelves this month, as part of a collection relaunch. The line, which includes two foundations and a new concealer, has been revamped with new ingredients like a hyaluronic complex and vitamin C.
Sangita joins other Covergirl spokespersons like 70-year-old model and dietician Maye Musk and international pop sensation Katy Perry, to name a few.
She will appear on in-store advertising, as well as take part in media activities for the brand.
Covergirl described the partnership with the mom of two and Entertainment Tonight Canada and HGTV host as a “natural fit”, especially as she celebrates her 40th birthday this month.
"It's the big 40 and I'm kicking it off by joining the Covergirl family! It is a dream-come-true opportunity to partner with a brand that has always celebrated all types of beauty and that continues to challenge the singular beauty standard," said Sangita, in a news statement.
"True beauty is loving yourself, at any age."
Covergirl is part of Coty Inc., who owns other beauty brands such as Max Factor, Bourjois and Rimmel.
