Cuyana, the San Francisco-based fashion label founded by Karla Gallardo and Shilpa Shah, opened a pop up in Chicago last week on 840 West Armitage Avenue. The pop up opening marks as Cuyana’s first freestanding store in Chicago and its second ephemeral shop in the city.

The temporary store is an intimate space offering the brand’s apparel and accessories, as well as its monogramming service. Inside the store, customers will find custom furniture that feature brass and marble accents. Cuyana plans to keep the store open through Christmas Eve.

"We want to bring our retail experience to as many of our customers as possible and continue growing our presence in cities around the country, and eventually the world,” said Karla Gallardo, CEO and Co-Founder at Cuyana. Our Chicago pop-up is designed to reflect the same level of detail that makes up our product designs. The space embodies our fewer, better philosophy with a clean aesthetic filled with curated corners and beautiful product moments.”

The Chicago pop up opening follows the brand's three-day pop up store at Interior Define in Chicago. Prior to the opening, Cuyana opened a New York City pop up store in NoLiTa, which marked as its third pop up to open in New York City and its longest running temporary store. The brand opened its first pop up in New York City in 2014 and its second on Wooster Street in 2015.
