Daniel Patrick and Starter Black Label launch 90s-inspired holiday collection

Luxury streetwear designer Daniel Patrick and Iconix Brand Group's athletic brand Starter Black Label have partnered for a 90s inspired Holiday collection, set to debut on November 9.

The 11-piece unisex collection includes a range of hoodies, long and short-sleeve t-shirts, snapbacks, tracksuits, and windbreakers in a palette of reds, blues, and neon yellows on black and grey. The capsule also includes a special edition of Starter's signature satin jacket, re-designed in monochrome and featuring Patrick's contrasting strap design, as well as the letters 'DP' embossed in varsity lettering. Each piece in the collection is handmade using materials sourced in Los Angeles, California.

Inspired by Patrick's admiration of 90s hip-hop style and culture, the two collaborators call the collection "a seamless blend of nostalgia and innovation."

As part of this partnership, the Daniel Patrick brand will have access to unique retail and wholesale opportunities. 

The capsule centers on the two brands' common link of mixing sports and pop-culture. Launched in 1971, Starter has held apparel and merchandising partnerships with major sports leagues across baseball, football, hockey, and basketball, and recently became the official on-field apparel and game day uniform supplier for the Alliance of American Football league.

In contrast, Daniel Patrick's luxury streetwear pulls inspiration from hip-hop and pop culture, becoming a favorite brand of athletes like Antonio Brown, Draymond Green, Chris Paul and Matt Kemp.

The collection will be available for purchase at the Daniel Patrick store on Melrose, online at danielpatrick.us, at Wish ATL, and at DTS Chicago. Prices range from $80 to $600.

An offshoot of Starter, Starter Black Label was founded in 2012 as a premium lifestyle brand focusing on logo-branded apparel and accessories. In addition to Pro and NCAA outerwear, Starter also offers apparel and headwear categories for more than 120 top NCAA programs.
