David Fisher parts ways with Bloomingdale’s after 33 years

Bloomingdale’s announced Thursday that David Fisher, the Executive Vice President/General Merchandise Manager of Men’s and Young World, will depart the company at the end of the month.
Fisher began his Bloomingdale’s career in 1983 as the Divisional Merchandise Manager for Ready-to-Wear, Fashion Accessories, Cosmetics and Young World in the King of Prussia store. He held various positions with the company including Divisional Merchandise Manager for Fashion Accessories at 59th Street; Operating Vice President/Divisional Merchandise Manager for Misses Coats and Special Sizes; Merchandise Vice President of Coats, Special Sizes, and Swimwear; Senior Vice President and General Manager of Bloomingdale’s 59th Street. In 1997, he was promoted to Senior Vice President/General Merchandise Manager of Men’s and Young World and was promoted to Executive Vice President in 2004.
Prior to Bloomingdale’s, Fisher was the Vice President/Divisional Merchandise Manager for Junior and Misses’ Sportswear at Gimbel’s Pittsburgh and the Divisional Merchandise Manager of Joske’s of Texas in San Antonio.
Dan Leppo will take over Fisher’s responsibilities in addition to his current position with Home. Leppo’s title will now be Executive Vice President, General Merchandise Manager Men’s and Home.
