During the completion of its financial restructuring, the bridal retailer kept its promise to worried customers, keeping stores open and remaining on-schedule for dress orders and delivery dates scheduled prior to the bankruptcy announcement.

In a press release, the company announced a series of updates to its services as it moves forward with renewed stability, including new styles at lower price points, an expanded range of dress sizes from size 0 to 30, and a new, wider selection of bridesmaid, special occasion and bridal dresses on its online platform.

In addition, the company said it will now offer free wedding registry services through Blueprint Registry, and will host a series of special events in stores throughout the country focused on wedding planning.

Outside of the buzz created by the company's legal filing, David's Bridal recently made headlines for featuring its first same-sex couple in an ad, boosting its image as an inclusive wedding retailer.
