Jul 22, 2019
Bridal retailer David's Bridal has announced two senior leadership appointments, naming Bob Walker as chief field operations and store experience officer, and Jeff Warzel as chief supply chain officer.
In his new role, Walker will oversee stores and the store support teams. He began the role on July 18. Over the course of his career, he has amassed experience leading large retail teams through behavioral and cultural transformations, driving customer focus and sales through talent planning, coaching and development.
Warzel will now oversee David's Bridal's joint venture partnership, as well as distribution and logistics, planning and replenishment, production and costing, quality control and vendor compliance. He will begin his new role on July 31.
Previously, he worked at David's Bridal in supply chain from 2003 through 2014. Before and after his time with the bridal retailer, he held various senior roles in supply chain, strategy and business integration in large retailers and as an independent consultant.
Both men will serve on the executive leadership team and will report to James Marcum, chief executive officer of David's Bridal.
"Both [executives] bring exceptional leadership, vision, and expertise to the brand as we work diligently towards our omni-channel transformation and creating a best in class experience for our customer,” said Marcum. “I believe strongly that [Walker and Warzel] will be integral to David's Bridal's future success."
The two appointments are meant to support the bridal retailer's strategic priorities and repositioning, the company said.
