Jan 10, 2023
American luxury jewelry brand David Yurman named on Monday Carolyn Dawkins to the role of chief marketing officer.

In this role, Dawkins will be responsible for leading integrated marketing and cross-platform content strategies, while overseeing the brand’s e-commerce business, with a focus on user experience, brand storytelling, and innovation. Overall, her goal will be to fuel the company’s growth and connect with customers in meaningful and scalable ways.
The appointment is part of president Evan Yurman’s ongoing plans to expand the company’s executive team. Most recently, in October, the company named Lee Tucker as its chief merchant and product officer. Prior to that, it appointed Emily Yueh as chief of people and strategy and former Nike vice president Marcelo Tau as chief operations officer.
“Carolyn brings deep expertise and leadership cultivated from over 20 years of working across a range of tech, beauty and CPG industries,” said Evan, who took over as company president in November 2021. “I look forward to partnering with Carolyn to develop strategic marketing, creative and digital initiatives to elevate and grow our global business.”
Dawkins joins David Yurman from Estée Lauder, where she served as global CMO, senior vice president for Clinique. Prior to Estée Lauder, Dawkins served as director at Google overseeing the BrandLab and Unskippable Experiments teams, as well as held brand marketing roles at L’Oréal, P&G, Colgate, and Kellogg’s.
“I’m honored to join the David Yurman family to support the company’s continued evolution and exciting growth plans,” added Dawkins. “I am thrilled by the opportunity to amplify the company’s rich heritage with new and existing customers.
