Delfina Delettrez Fendi brings her surrealist design to Fendi watch collection

Designer Delfina Delettrez Fendi has unveiled a watch capsule collection for the Fendi fashion house.

The new line, Policromia, will be available in 20 models in both 33-mm and 38-mm case sizes, and features a combination of precious mineral stones on the dial as well as white diamonds on the dial and case. Shoppers can choose between precious stones like malachite, obsidian, tiger eye and lapis lazuli for the face design.

Delettrez Fendi says the watch designs were inspired by structures in her native Italy, like the architecture of Rome and the Palazzo Della Civilita Italiana -- which houses the Fendi fashion house.

The capsule collection will be the designer's third with the Fendi brand, after completing two jewelry lines for them, most recently in fall 2014. Since creating her self-named company in 2007, the designer has become known for her surrealist jewelry using eyes, bees and lips.

The watches in the new collection will retail for 3,000 to 150,000 euros, going on sale next fall.
