Design Within Reach and Entireworld launch Dome Life pop-up

Los Angeles-based Entireworld has partnered with Connecticut-based interior design company Design Within Reach (DWR) to open 'Dome Life', a pop-up clothing and furniture shop.

Opened on May 17 and running through May 27, the shop is located at the DWR SoHo Studio at 110 Greene Street and coincides with NYCxDesign -- New York City’s multi-disciplinary design showcase taking place across the city.

The pop-up space was conceived by Entireworld’s founder, chief executive officer and creative director, Scott Sternberg, who previously made a name for himself as the founder and creative director of Band of Outsiders (the label is now owned by Belgian investment firm CLCC).

Dome Life marks the first retail experience from Sternberg’s second label since its announcement in March of 2018, presenting Entireworld’s spring/summer 2019 collection, alongside items from DWR.

The pop-up is divided into four thematic domes, with Entireworld's apparel on display for purchase, including t-shirts, sweats, underwear, jackets, socks, button-ups and summer dresses. Also on sale are pieces of DWR furniture and lighting from both emerging designers and 20th century design greats. 

"I couldn't think of a better partner for Entireworld than Design Within Reach," said Sternberg. "We share the same love, enthusiasm and reverence for great modernist design. What a dream to work with such incredible products from my design heroes – Charles and Ray Eames, Jens Risom, Hans Wegner, Alvar Aalto, George Nelson and more – to build this pop-up experience for NYCxDesign."

Design Within Reach will also launch +Design, an event series that explores the connections between design and the world around us, the company said. The series will kick off with a dialogue between Sternberg and Deborah Needleman, former editor-in-chief of T Magazine.
