“For over thirteen years, Ron has been a valuable member of the Destination Maternity team. We want to thank him for his years of service to the organization and wish him all the best in his future endeavors,” said Marla A. Ryan, Destination Maternity’s chief executive officer in a statement.

Masciantonio began his relationship with Destination Maternity in 2004 when he joined as assistant general counsel. He left the brand for a year for another legal job, and then returned in 2006 as a VP and general counsel. He has since held a number of positions with the company including SVP and EVP.

He led the company through negotiations that secured $50 million in tax incentives, as well as long-term financing from Wells Fargo and Bank of America. He was most recently leading negotiations on a pending company merger between Destination Maternity and an international strategic partner.

According to Destination Maternity's statement, Masciantonio is leaving to "pursue other opportunities." The company does not plan to hire a new chief administrative officer at this time.
