Destination XL appoints new chief operating officer

Big and tall menswear retailer Destination XL Group, Inc. announced on Monday that it has promoted company veteran Brian S. Reaves to the role of executive vice president and chief operating officer.

In his new position, Reaves will be responsible for overseeing Destination XL Group’s day-to-day operations and will continue to report directly to the company’s president and CEO David A. Levin.
 
Reaves has served as EVP and chief customer officer at Destination XL since November 2017, having held the position of senior vice president and chief sales officer at the company from November 2014. He first joined Destination XL in 2010 as SVP of store sales and operations.

Prior to joining the company, the University of Alabama graduate served as vice president of group sales and outreach at David’s Bridal from 2007 to 2010, and SVP of sales at After Hours Formalwear from 2003 to 2007, having spent 17 years as a regional manager at Zale Corp.
 
As part of the promotion, effective as of October 8th, 2018, Reaves’ annual base salary has been increased from $400,000 to $500,000.
