Canadian retailer Drake General Store (DGS) is celebrating Canada’s sesquicentennial with a limited-edition series of collaborative designs with select partners.

Among the releases, DGS has partnered with Hudson’s Bay and Sid Lee to release a collection of 10 limited-edition t-shirts, designed in collaboration with influential Canadians.
Baptized The One Fif Tee t-shirt line, the designs were created with Canadian figures in art, music, food, sports and fashion such as Canadian designer Tanya Taylor, Toronto-based designer Hayley Elsaesser, and Toronto lingerie and loungewear designer Mary Young, and features designs inspired by what makes each person proud to be Canadian.
DGS will also release souvenir designs from 10 contest-winning Etsy Canada artists. Following a national open call in 2016 that received hundreds of entries, 10 contest winners were selected to have their unique creations sold in all DGS retail locations, select Hudson’s Bay locations, and online starting May 17. Items will include homeware, sculptures and more.
Furthermore, DGS will launch an official Canada 150 Provincial Floral collection of hats, t-shirts and socks. The apparel line celebrates each Canadian province from coast to coast by paying homage to all 13 official flowers.
Earlier this month, DGS also announced the launch of a limited-edition sneaker with global footwear manufacturer Bata, as well as a partnership with Canadian men’s beachwear company Bather on a line of made in Canada men’s swim trunks and five-panel caps.
Drake General Store was founded in 2008. Currently, there are five store locations in Toronto, one in Ottawa and one in Vancouver.
