Diadora for sale?

Published
Apr 1, 2009

The Diadora group could be changing hands. The financial companies Orlando Italy and Atlantis Capital would be well positioned to take over the group and are believed to have already made bids to acquire the Italian sports equipment and clothing specialist.

According to Reuters, the Venetian business has chosen to sell as it currently has a debt of around €80 million. Nobody at Diadora was willing to comment on this news.

In the meantime, the Italian brand – which has a turnover of €200 million and notably made playing kit for AS Roma between 2003 and 2007 – will implement a cost-cutting plan which could save about fifty jobs.
