Dick's Sporting Goods opens new U.S. stores

Dick's Sporting Goods is opening the doors to two new locations - one in Norwalk, Connecticut, and the other in Sunnyvale, California.

Lauren Hobart, Executive Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer of Dick’s Sporting Goods told the press in a statement, "The rich history of sports and outdoor traditions in these markets provide us with a great opportunity to serve the community in a way only we can. The new stores will carry a wide range of apparel, equipment, and accessories, including offerings from exclusive brands such as CALIA by Carrie Underwood, Field & Stream and Walter Hagen."

This will be the 12th Dick’s Sporting Goods location in Connecticut and the 46th in California.

The Pittsburgh-based company’s two new locations will provide jobs for 175 new employees through full-time, part-time, and temporary associate positions.The openings will be celebrated with a host of in-store events, including celebrity appearances and raffles.

As of these two new openings, Dick’s Sporting Goods currently operates 682 locations across the United States.
