Dinesh Lathi succeeds Sechrest as Tailored Brands chairman

Tailored Brands on Tuesday announced that Dinesh Lathi has been named non-executive chairman of the board, effective immediately. He succeeds William Sechrest, who will remain on the board of directors.

 
Lathi joined the company board in March 2016 and is a member of the audit and compensation committees. The finance expert previously served as CEO of One Kings Lane, an online home décor and lifestyle destination, and he held several roles at eBay during his seven year tenure.

Sechrest, who was a founding shareholder in the law firm of Winstead Sechrest & Minick P.C., joined the Tailored Brands board in 2004 as Lead Director. He joined the law firm of Shartis Friese LLP and served as counsel from 2007 to 2008. 

Prior to this announcement, Tailored Brands promoted Chief Operating Officer Bruce Thorn to President and COO, effective immediately. Thorn joined the company in 2015 after serving at PetSmart, Gap and Cintas among other companies.
 
Tailored Brands met its earnings per share expectations for fiscal 2016 but posted a 3.4% decrease in total sales.
