Dita Von Teese is sharing some of her beauty, hair and makeup expertise this weekend with a series of demonstrations and workshops.

The burlesque star, author and fashion icon has launched ‘Weekend of Glamour,' a two-day series of classes and workshops spanning beauty, glamour, and striptease taking part in Los Angeles this weekend. She will be joined by a cast of ‘Glambassadors', including the hair sculptor Tony Medina, the director of makeup Gregory Arlt, and the burlesque star Dirty Martini.

The weekend will include makeup demonstrations in which Von Teese and Arlt share their professional advice, as well as a hairstyling session in which attendees can learn how to channel her signature vintage style and a discussion with Dirty Martini about body confidence. A striptease class, burlesque workout and movement workshop are also on the agenda. 

Von Teese has suggested that the concept could expand in the near future. "My intention is to take this idea and travel with it and open it up to more people and a bigger audience at a lower ticket price," she told WWD in an interview.

Fashion and beauty icons are increasingly turning to live masterclasses and workshops as a way to interact with their fans -- in February the Italian influencer and entrepreneur Chiara Ferragni launched a beauty masterclass in partnership with Lancôme and Sephora dubbed 'Beauty Bites,' a four-hour ticketed event hosted with her personal makeup artist Manuele Mameli. Meanwhile, beauty mogul Kim Kardashian has participated in masterclasses with her longstanding makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic in the past.
