Donrad Duncan of EFM wins Rising Star Award for menswear
Menswear designer, Donrad Duncan of EFM on Thursday was awarded with the Rising Star Award for menswear at the annual Rising Star Awards at Cipriani hosted by The Fashion Group International.
Duncan founded EFM to bridge the gap between men’s tailoring and activewear. EFM, which stands for Engineered For Motion, offers trousers, blazers and outerwear that have several functions making them perform better during your commute than other traditionally designed pieces.
Before founding EFM, Duncan launched MA.STRUM, a military-inspired menswear brand, and helped launch Victorinox in 2000.
The Fashion Group International developed the Rising Star Awards in 1997. The ceremony recognizes and honors up-and-coming individuals in the fashion and design industries.
Nominees for the menswear award included Greg Lauren, Malan Breton of Malan Breton Homme, Peyman Umay and Laurence Chandler and Joshua Cooper of Rochambeau. Other winners of the awards included Michael Kadar of Cadar who won the Rising Star Award for Fine Jewelry.
