E-commerce: Indian company Koovs poaches CEO from Asos

British e-tailer Koovs, subsidiary of the Indian e-retailer by the same name, has announced the appointment of Mary Turner as CEO, formerly at the helm of Asos.

Mary Turner has already been working with Koovs since July 2014, as non-executive director. A former employee of Avon Cosmetics and Elizabeth Arden, she will start in her new role on October 1st, 2015.

Koovs’ British operations have the chief objective of progressively introducing European brands on the Indian portal.

In the past year the portal's British version has generated a turnover of £2.65 million, a 268% increase from the previous year.
