Ebay appoints Vidmay Naini as general manager for global emerging markets

Global e-commerce player Ebay has appointed Vidmay Naini as the general manager for its global emerging markets.

In his new role, Naini will lead the company’s global emerging markets which include Southeast Asia, India, Eastern Europe, Israel, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America.

He will be responsible for scaling businesses from these markets by tapping into global demand and making them a part of the global economy.

Commenting on his new role, Vidmay Naini in a statement said, “I am delighted to step into this global role. There is a significant opportunity to scale up Ebay’s mission of empowering people and creating economic opportunity for all by expanding our efforts across these regions.”

“The digital economy is exponentially growing in these markets, with small and medium-sized businesses propelling its growth. Global ecommerce platforms such as Ebay can revolutionize export opportunities and expand the reach these businesses can achieve,” Naini added.

Naini is a seasoned professional with around two decades of experience across sectors including e-commerce, strategy, cross border trade, policy advisory, online payments, and strategic partnerships.
