Ellie Kai wins Dr. Kenneth Wang Mentorship Program

Global apparel business expert Alvanon announced on Monday, made-to-order apparel brand Ellie Kai, founded by Elizabeth “Liz” Hostetter, as the fifth winner of its Dr. Kenneth Wang Mentorship Program.
Established in 2011 by Alvanon, the two-year mentorship program offers monthly consulting sessions based on specific brand needs. The mentorship program will aim to strengthen Ellie Kai’s existing business competence with mentorship in statistical sizing data, technical design tools and training in other key areas.
“We are thrilled to be a part of Alvanon’s mentoring program and believe this will be a game changing opportunity for Ellie Kai,” says Hostetter in a news statement.
Ellie Kai offers customizable apparel to customers. Style Consultants across the United States work directly with clients to select and customize various styles. Garment are then ordered and sewn on-demand to clients specifications.
“Ellie Kai’s just-in-time manufacturing controls every part of the process—from design concept, fabric sourcing, and production, all the way to the company’s own sales network and clients,” explains Alvanon’s CEO Janice Wang, in a news statement.
Alvanon was founded in 2001 and is a global consulting firm that advises the world’s leading apparel organizations.
Ellie Kai is headquartered in Boston.
