Emily Ratajkowski becomes creative director at Loops skincare brand

Published

American supermodel and actress Emily Ratajkowski is joining Loops, an up-and-coming skincare brand specialized in beauty masks, as both partner and creative director, effective immediately.

In her new position at the brand, Ratajkowski is expected to help establish Loops as a leader in the skincare market and will be responsible for developing both content and products, as well as expanding the brand’s scope.

The partnership is Ratajkowski’s “first official entrepreneurial foray into the beauty market,” but she has previously founded Inamorata, a direct-to-consumer digital-first apparel company run by an all-female workforce.

And the model is no stranger to the beauty sector: she currently fronts campaigns for L'Oréal haircare line Kerastase, having formerly been the face of the “Pure XS” fragrance by Paco Rabanne.

“Emily is a global icon and revered tastemaker,” said Loops co-founder Colin Peek in a release. “We couldn't be more excited to partner together around a vision, a concept, that lifestyle beauty is simply how modern people take care of themselves today, how they look and feel their best.”

Founded by Peek, Tushar Adya and Aditya Julka in 2020, New York-based Loops styles itself as a “lifestyle beauty brand” seeking to redefine the skincare routines of its customers. The company’s product offering is based around a line of cleanly formulated face masks proposing a range of benefits, from the anti-ageing “Weekly Reset”, to the detoxing “Clean Slate” and the moisturizing “Night Shift.”

As it seeks to expand, the brand is hoping that Ratajkowski’s international profile will also work to amplify its presence in the beauty sector.

“I'm thrilled to be working with the team at Loops. Their product speaks for itself but it was Loop's simplified and modern approach to beauty that truly resonated with me,” commented the model.
