Emre Can is BALR's new brand ambassador

Published

Dutch brand BALR has named German footballer Emre Can as its new brand ambassador with the Borussia Dortmund player featured in the label’s latest campaign Through the eyes of a BALR.

BALR

The campaign takes a look through Can’s eyes, showcasing his lifestyle, ambitions, his love of fashion and football and shows why the label and footballer “are inextricably linked to each other. It’s the world where football and fashion meet”.

Can said of this: “BALRembodies the mindset that I have: work hard to achieve greatness. It pays off both on and off the pitch and BALR is the brand that reflects that.”

Company CEO Juul Manders said its new campaign star “is known for being well-dressed, he’s able to play any position on the pitch and he’s a beloved player across the world. We’re extremely excited to work with him”.

The premium brand was inspired by the lifestyle of professional football players and was founded by Manders, along with Ralph de Geus and Demy de Zeeuw.

Based in Amsterdam, it offers men’s clothing, footwear and accessories and has both a webstore and stores in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. It’s also available through over 400 retailers worldwide and last autumn relaunched in Britain and Ireland with Start agency as its UK sales partner. It launched into luxury UK department stores Harvey Nichols and Selfridges, as well as in Frasers Group’s fast-growing Flannels chain.
