Eric Johnson to serve as Executive Director of Saint Louis Fashion Fund Incubator
The Saint Louis Fashion Fund recently appointed Eric Johnson as the Executive Director of the Saint Louis Fashion Fund Incubator, established to support emerging designers. Johnson, a St. Louis native, formerly served as the Vice President – Fashion & Arts of the New York City Economic Development Corporation.
Slated to open in late 2016 in the city’s historic Garment District, the Saint Louis Fashion Incubator will collaborate with Washington University in St. Louis and an advisory board to design outreach and education programs for St. Louis and neighboring residents. “St. Louis was once a center of fashion and design, known for its production of hats, gloves, coats and especially shoes,” says Johnson. “I look forward to taking the help of the new St Louis Fashion Incubator, and working with the civic and corporate community to make St Louis a fashion destination once again.”
The Saint Louis Fashion Fund was established 2 years ago as a non-profit organization. Led by a 32-member Board of Directors, the Fund supports Saint Louis Fashion Week among other programs. The Fund’s mission is to support emerging fashion designers, as well as promote fashion education and outreach.
