Estée Lauder recruits from Avon

American cosmetics group Estée Lauder has appointed Patricia Lopez as Senior Vice President and Managing Director of the Estée Lauder and Aerin Beauty brands for North America.

She succeeds Nancy McKay, who left the group in November, indicated WWD.

Patricia Lopez was previously Marketing Director at Avon. She also held managerial positions at Procter&Gamble, notably as Vice President and Managing Director of the Eastern Europe region.

Among her assignments, Patricia Lopez will be responsible for attracting a younger than usual crowd for Estée Lauder, whose average age in the United States is around 40, explained Jane Hertzmark Hudis, Global President of the Estée Lauder brands, in WWD.

To rejuvenate its image, Estée Lauder also recently chose Kendall Jenner, half-sister of Kim Kardashian, as its new ambassador.
