Eyebobs to open first brick-and-mortar retail locations this summer

Minneapolis, MN-based Eyebobs is expanding into brick and mortar with the opening of its first two retail stores.

Eyebobs first experimented with retail when it opened a retail lab at its headquarters last year and is now branching out into traditional brick-and-mortar with locations in Minneapolis' Mall of America and Orlando's Florida Mall.

CEO Mike Hollenstein said in a statement, "With plans for three-year revenue growth of over 30 percent at the conclusion of this year, now is the perfect time for Eyebobs to disrupt the traditional brick-and-mortar eyewear experience."

"Retail gives us the opportunity to bring our one-of-a-kind customer service experience to a whole new audience," he added. 

Eyebobs was founded in 2001 and aims to provide quirky and expressive eyewear designed for distinct personalities. The company manufactures and distributes full lines of progressives, blue light frames, all-day readers and polarized sunglasses in addition to their signature reader. It launched prescription eyewear last year.

Eyebobs' first retail store location opens May 17, 2018 with a grand opening event to be held in store June 7th. The Florida location is slated to open in late summer of 2018.
