FLT Moda, longtime collaborator with Global Disability Inclusion, will celebrate its 10th anniversary during Fall/Winter NYFW 2016 by showcasing the Birrificio Angelo Poretti label for the first time to the US market.
During SS2016, FLT Moda celebrated models including Shaholly Ayers, the first model to walk at fashion week without a prosthesis, and Madeline Stuart, first to walk with Down’s Syndrome, among others. For Fall/Winter 2016, FLT Moda will continue celebrating inclusiveness and redefining beauty.
FLT Moda will also launch its new partnership with Fashion Week Online, the international go-to to watch fashion week collections live online. About the Fashion Week Online’s partnership with FLT Moda, FWO publisher Pablo Van Arsdalen said: " Not only is the industry redefining ideas about what constitutes 'beauty' -- seeking to broaden the definition in every sense -- it's also seeking to destroy the concept of 'otherness.' The true pain of 'disability' is not the disability itself: it's the social isolation that often occurs. FTL MODA has been leading the charge in normalizing what has frequently been unnecessarily isolating.”
Founded in 2007 by Ilaria Niccolini Production, FTL Moda has been presenting runway shows internationally and has become a bridge within the Italian fashion community for Proudly Made in Italy to showcase internationally. FTL MODA has been recognized by the Italian government of the Region of Lombardy as the official platform to support Made in Italy in the world.
