Fabletics to open 30 new locations in 2022
El Segundo, California-based Fabletics announced on Friday plans to expand its brick-and-mortar footprint with the opening of 30 new store locations in 2022.
The new locations will bring Fabletics’s global brick-and-mortar presence to more than 100 storefronts by the end of the year, and promise to offer a shopping experience that is complementary to its digital presence.
All new locations will be equipped with the brand’s proprietary OmniShop technology, which seamlessly links online and offline activity for members and associates, to create a personalized shopping experience.
“Fabletics has proven that shoppers want the flexibility of both in-store and online shopping,” said Adam Goldenberg, CEO and co-founder, Fabletics.
“Despite the challenges we faced during Covid-19, we see a rebound on the horizon for retail and are doubling down on expansion efforts in response. We’ve chosen new locations based on growing demand from our members in these areas and can’t wait to bring the brand closer to our customers’ homes.”
The first 18 new locations are slated to open in: Chandler, AZ; Arcadia, CA; Corte Madera, CA; Glendale, CA; Sherman Oaks, CA; Valencia, CA; Walnut Creek, CA; Louisville, KY; Kansas City, MO; Raleigh, NC; Omaha, NE; Albuquerque, NM; Cincinnati, OH; Westlake, OH; Oklahoma City, OK; Germantown, TN; Murray, UT; and Wauwatosa, WI.
Fabletics opened 21 new locations during the Covid-19 pandemic. To celebrate the return of in-person shopping since the beginning of the pandemic, the brand also hosted a series of belated 'Grand Re-Opening' events on Saturday, March 5 at the Fabletics locations that opened since early 2020.
“The commitment of our associates and loyalty of our customers across the stores we opened during the past two years deserves to be celebrated,” added Ron Harries, senior vice president, head of retail, Fabletics. “Our associates are excited to bring members and new customers back in stores and show off the latest and greatest from Fabletics. We believe the future of retail is more exciting than ever and look forward to showing shoppers why.”
Beyond retail, the brand has also expanded its product offering. Earlier this year, it launched the 'Any-Wear Collection’ offering a mix of sports and casual attire designed to be worn anywhere and at any time. In April 2020, Fabletics expanded into menswear, followed by its lounge category expansion in September 2021.
Since launching in 2013, Fabletics has built a community of over 2 million active members. The brand started expanding in brick-and-mortar in 2015 and today, customers can shop the collections in the U.S., Canada, Europe and in-person at the brand’s retail stores in over 75 locations.
