Fanatics taps Glen Giovanucci for VP of retail sales

Glen Giovanucci has been named VP of retail sales for Fanatics Branded, the company's in-house merchandising division for fan apparel developed around sports moments.

Fanatics is the official licensee of all major sports leagues as well as for many collegiate and professional teams.

Giovanucci will report in to Fanatics Branded president Raphael Peck and will be based out of Fanatics Branded's new West Coast headquarters near Silicon Valley in San Mateo, CA.

"This is an exciting time for Fanatics Branded, and adding Glen to the team will ensure growth for not only this division but the company overall as we continue to significantly increase the distribution and range of products that we design and manufacture," said Peck.

He continued, "Adding a veteran retail professional like Glen with strong industry expertise and contacts in the wholesale business will help grow our omnichannel merchandise collections."

Giovanucci comes with a background as Head of Sales at Adidas and Director of Sales at Puma, as well as having experience at Reebok. He is an avid sports fan who has coached collegiate hockey and was an active NHL scout for the Calgary Flames and Minnesota Wild for 12 years.

"There is no doubt that Fanatics has become a key player in the world of sports licensed apparel and I am looking forward to joining this forward-thinking company to help expand the Fanatics Branded division," Giovanucci said.
