Fashion Technology hits FITC Toronto 2017
Feb 16, 2017
Canada's largest tech and digital media conference, FITC Toronto, is set to kick off on April 23, and fashion technology promises to be a key focus at this year’s edition.
Leading the discussion on the latest in 'FashionTech', Dutch engineer and fashion designer Anouk Wipprecht will share her latest creations and discuss how looking at "fashion as interface" will change what we wear and how we live in the very near future.
"Fashion for me is about expression and communication, but the things we wear at the moment are 'analog.' Putting electronics in fashion opens up a whole new world of possibilities on how we can express and communicate ourselves," says Wipprecht, in a news statement.
Other key speakers will include interaction designer Jared Ficklin, Shantell Martin, Hydro 74, and over 70 other presenters.
"Our goal is to bring the future of design, technology, and ideas under one roof right here in Toronto. This is one of our strongest lineups yet," says, Shawn Pucknell, FITC's founder, in a news statement.
The three-day event will run April 23-25 at the Hilton Toronto.
