First Jordan brand store opens in Canada

Published
Jun 7, 2017

Nike opened its first Canadian Jordan Brand store location, last week.

Spanning three floors, the Jordan Brand store opened in Toronto at 306 Yonge Street and follows the successful 2015 opening of a Jordan Brand flagship store in Chicago.

The location initially opened during the 2016 NBA All-Star Weekend for a special pop-up experience, and has now been transformed into a permanent location.

“Toronto has long been known for its international appeal and, more recently, a unique basketball culture. These attributes make the city a perfect location for delivering the best of what Jordan Brand has to offer, from pinnacle products to a training space where athletes can pursue greatness,” the company said in a news statement.

In addition to providing a premium selection of Jordan apparel and sneakers for both adults and kids, the store equally hubs Centre 23, a training facility that will prepare athletes with specialized sessions led by Jordan Brand trainers.

The store officially opened on May 27 with some exclusive releases highlighted by customizable product and pairs of the Air Jordan IV, I, and VI honoring Toronto, which is also known as the “416”.
